Is it still possible to buy the old style batteries from tri tronics or have they been completely phased out? I have a good g2 unit i use on my beagles but the batteries are almost gone.

Are you referring to the one in the e-collar? You could try Batteries Plus or some other battery-specialized store.

The one in the remote is a 9 volt battery.

You might check on Facebook there is or was a guy in mo. working on tritronics.
Or like gimruis said try a battery center. I had mine done two years ago at interstate. I want to say it was like 65 dollars for the remote and one collar on a pro 200

The only place I know of that still services the old g2 and g3 Tritronics collar battery is magnum telemetry.

Great! I know I searched high and low some years ago and they were the last place supporting those old collars.
