So we went out today for a dove Hunt and my god. South Louisiana WMAs are horrible. Overgrown not managed to well and they wanna charge you. Just bad bad habbitat. Cant wait to Hunt Nebraska again.

What WMA did you go to? There are a few that aren't too bad, but to be honest, the second spilt is usually better, especially with the warm weather right now, birds just aren't being pushed south. Don't give up on it, it's tough to judge based on one trip.
I have a piece of pirvate land i can hunt around the BR area, let me know if you wanna try in a few weeks, when i get back I'll call the guy...But I can't promise anything as far as birds go, two years ago when it was cooler up north, we had ~1500 birds on opening day circiling the place, last year we were lucky if we saw 100. The weather was HOT HOT HOT...
