Took Brookie the Rookie out today to intro her to birds and gunfire. Had pretty good results.
First picture is on the first bird, wind was kind of stale, but a small breeze.
She didnt get the memo on the FRONT foot is suppose to point. She allowed me to get in front of her and flush the bird.
Second bird, you can see she just ran across the scent and dug in. She was a bit more excited and let me get with in 2 ft before she took the step that "Spooked" the bird and it left.
Third bird wasnt a point situation. I flew a bird dropped it for her.Her first killed bird. This made her day. I let her run around the field with it and "Show " it to me with a few victory laps before she brought the bird in.
She is a different animal than my Max and Baja. I feel like I want to let her toe the line a little bit more than I would have ever dreamed of letting those two do.
All in all a very productive half hour.
