Does anyone have a conditions report, i.e., bird count estimate, nesting conditions, recent weather and any Fall predictions for the area Southwest of Winner, SD? (Pheasants, that is) Thank You!
 
We started out about perfect but we have just recently had a 4-5 in rain event that could have been tough on the chicks. There is still a lot of carry over roosters. Nesting conditions were ideal up untill this last rain event so we will see. We are still better off than many parts of the state.
 
All the rain this past week certainly isn't going to help nesting and young chicks. The rain was pretty wide spread across the state but some areas really got pounded.
