How has the weather been for the hatch? Have they been getting rain? Is it looking better for cover this year?

Better-----Yes----Much

The weather for the hatch is improving as here in Platte we have had almost 3 inches of rain in the last week and now the sun is out and temps are near the norm. The grass is really taking off--looks much better than last year--now all we need is rain at the right time--not to much hail or heat and things could be really good this fall---only time will tell.

visit to SD

Made a visit to the great state of SD to be with Mom for Mothers' Day! Did a little scouting in the Turner/McCook County areas. Certainly not a heavy pheasant population area...but was encouraged to see several hens and roosters. One morning my brother and I saw three rooster/hen pairs in about a 2 miles stretch. Saw another old boy with 5 hens! Praying for continued moisture, pleasant temps and an amazing hatch of our beloved ringnecks!! :):):)
