If I'd run after them, using the gun as a club, I would have done better.

Twelve: four with the 20ga sxs, two with the 12ga single imp. cyl., five with the 20ga NEF mod, and one with the Springer Spaniel, who flushed a bird out of a line of brush and then didn't come back for a minute or two, and when he did, he was holding a second rooster in his mouth.

He was unapologetic about the whole episode.

There were five or six days when I just took the dog and a shotgun for a walk, as well.

I've given away ten of the twelve. After today, I think I'll keep the birds I get, up to the possession limit, and THEN...if luck holds...give more away.
