resizing pictures

I don't think I need webguy's help with this b/c there are plenty of you that have figured this out, but HOW do I make my pics take up less memory w/o changing the actual dimensions or the pic or cutting parts of it off.
 
There is a resizer on most of the storage places like Photobucket, image shack etc. You resize them to the size you want as you uplaod them. I use Image Shack because I can have a toolbar on my browser and get a picture with out having to go to a different website........Bob
 
I use photobucket. it auto resizes for me if i have a large file. i use a copy and paste of the IMG code in the thread box.
 
I use photobucket as well. But windows has a edit button as well. If you click on the photo there should be a make a copy link. Then I right click the copy and edit. In edit you can resize it and crop it. Then save it and put it in photo bucket as well.
