Patella luxation Repair

One of my Brittanies underwent Patella luxation Repair yesterday (he and his brother collided at a full out run a few weeks ago and blew out his knee). My vet assures me that he will return to full preinjury condition without any problems and can return to full all out hunting in october,Has anyone out there had any experience with this?If you have I like to hear from you.The vet bill was $2400.00 included all postoperative meds treatments plus 6 underwater treadmill therapy sessions seemed competitive.

Whatever you do make the recovery slow, dont speed things up because the dog feels good,

Jake had TPLO surgery on his left knee, was feeling good so i give him more leway, 2 years ago now going to another specialist to see what is clicking in there......might have to take the plate out 2200.00

Post surgery conditioning

Well it will be three months since Hunter's surgery for Medial Petella Luxation repair tomorrow. He has healed up really well and you can't even tell he has had surgery...I still keep him on a short leash and no off leash or resticted to his kennel (so no running we are going nuts!). We are going to start swimming in a near by lake off leash in the water only no running on land off leash. He has lost about 8 lbs dieting any safe ideas to help get him ready for the Oct 23 opener?Max his brother is 100% ready for opening day now. I'm a little nervous about his first run on dry land.
