Need advice for a trip

Our usual family hunting trip to South Dakota is cancelled this year :(
We have been told there are just no pheasants in the area we usually hunt and also have some health problems with a couple of the hunters.
I am looking to go with a couple friends however. We usually stay in deuel county and was hoping to find a game farm where we could have some fun on a Saturday and road hunt and public land hunt Friday and Sunday. I was thinking game farm just so we can be assured to get some birds. Any advice? We would be coming Oct. 28,29 time frame.
Thanks

Are you still planning on Duel County? Not sure the eastern part of SD is the best due to severe weather last winter et al. And you are traveling to SD when the hunting pressure is highest - can you wait until later?

You may be able to find hunting preserves/lodges to hunt, although most are filled early in the season. Have you found much on line? There may be individual farmers that will allow you to hunt, but you'll bang on lots of doors, if you don't have this figured out in advance.

Good luck,

Jon
