don't guess anyone knows, I was looking forward to some info also, don't know if it would get more help on the South Dakota forum or not.

Bird numbers are usually very high. Habitat work is valued and ongoing. There is one area that is isolated on a pennisula jutting out into the lake that has limited access by daily permit, it's worth it! Now for the caveats, your no longer in the US, law is interpretted by the Tribal government. Local and US authorities are not going to help you. There have been issues of harrasment of various kinds reported. Very poor area. Accomadations are limited to the casino hotel, OK for food and lodging,or off the res. I would hunt there again, and enjoy it, would not take the wife and daughters. A better hunt for fit young men, would drive a well used truck, and try to blend in and stay friendly. I here a guide can be hired cheap, I might suggest it, till you know the ropes, there are areas of private land interspersed within the boundries and you need permission to hunt those. You will get a map of open areas. It is a superior alternative in my opinion, to road ditch, public walkin areas, or expensive pay by day operations. For the record, I have hunted several reservations South Dakota to Arizona, and had nothing but welcoming attitude and good treatment. Tribes have spent a lot of money, time and effort to provide hunting and fishing. Lots safer than current Mexico!
