With working 60 to 70 hours a week I have been finding it hard to get motivated to take the dog out and do some training. This Sunday knowing he needed the exercise we went out to a field with the chuck it. Was throwing the ball around and he was having a hard time finding it in the tall grass so I decided to put a little bit of pheasant scent on it. What a difference it made. I never thought of using a tennis ball for training before but it works great. When the ball hits the ground, bounces and rolls it leaves a nice scent trail for him to follow. I forgot what is was like watching the dog work a scent trail for as dead bird. After just this week of using this he is finding the ball in the thickest cover I can put it in. I think I made him remember he has to use his nose as well as his eyes. Now all he does is look at me with the look of
