Incredible trip.... and even got some work done..

Came home on Tuesday.

Headed back Wednesday night with hopes to finish up all the trim.. :and do a little fishing, with hopes to be in the boat Friday afternoon.

Thursday was another great day of work, with the building pretty much buttoned up except for garage door openers..

Time to move in and ice fish the evening bite..

Friday found us working on cleaning out the existing garage for its transformation into semi heated space. Original plans were to insulate, put in the ceiling an sidewalls, and use it for fish cleaning and cooking etc. Plans morphed in all of the above, but now theres going to be a furnace, and couches and television for the space. Were really getting excited about expanding our living space, and getting the hunting dogs out of the main cabin.

Took the boat to the fast water ramp, and tried 2 times to get it in. Couldnt get it in, without risking putting the truck over the mud bar and forever being stuck with no support in sight. Oh well. There actually were two boats in, but they were together, and were coming in when we were packing up. They had to pull each other out, so it was a good decision on our part not to get in deeper than we should. Again, trusting your gut, pays dividends.

About one more day of work, and itll be ready for a furnace..

No pheasant hunting this trip, but alot of work, and some fishing fun.

Forgot to add in my Christmas photo of my Granddaughter. Who would of thought a Rudolph plate would bring this kind of reaction?

Someday, this cabin will be hers! That makes it so much easier to work on it. :thumbsup:
