New to this forum, Not new to hunting, Always looking though for more people and places. Things have changed in the last fifty years. Not for the good. Still love to hunt though. It's always been about the walking and looking ---not the kill. So I'm still at it. Grocery store is always cheeper and quicker. Thought I'd say hi.

hello from Vancouver, WA

I read a few of your posts last year about this time, but sort of forgot about the site. I came back on today while trying to figure out where to hunt for wild birds in my own state. I hope I can find more posts from hunters in WA.

Welcome to the site. I lived in Spokane for a number of years in the 70's and 80's. I found good bird hunting (Grouse, Chuckers, and Pheasant). We used to go out to Moses lake and chase Pheasant, and down on the snake for Chuckers. My brother still lives back there and says that all the land is now locked up and inaccessible:(.

poor hunting reports from WA

Everyone complains that most of the land is private and leased now. I can't say I blame the the farmer. If I had all of that money invested in land I would want to make it pay for itself. It seems to me our state is missing out here. SD really shouldn't be all that different than WA except our winters are more mild. Pheasants were first introduced in Western Oregon.
