We left the house about 5am this morning and headed west. Saw a few birds in every field we walked. Highlight of the day was the pups 1st rooster pointed, shot, chased down(runner) and held until I arrived. We've got some work to do on retrieving but for a 5 month old dog I'm pretty happy. The boy had a good shot at one but missed, hopefully will get him a few more chances tomorrow.

Great dog performance for 5 mos. Mouth probably not yet big enough for retrieve! Great post.
