A friend sent me this link, pretty funny. One good reason to live here in NC, still a bummer that there aren't any native pheasants here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8hGIF9FljM

North Dakota only has 2 seasons........Winter and Summer. Winter usually lasts 8 months and Summer 4 . But summer can also be interupted by the reminder of winter.
Twice in my life I have experienced watching snow fall on the 4th of July. I have watched Robin chicks call for their mother in late June with snow on their heads. But then again I almost had a heat stroke in February one year as the temps got near 80 for a few days.
One year it didn't snow until Christmas day followed by record cold and the worst blizzards in history. So like Forrest Gump's ma said " Life (weather in North Dakota) is like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are going to get" .
Once when I was in Glacier Park Montana a local said they have two seasons, winter and July. That year the Going to the Sun highway finally fully opened on July 4th since they had so much snow to remove.
