I know Goldenboy and a few others near central Minnesota may find this of interest. The seminars are all free to members of the Central Minnesota Retreiver Club. Membership is $50 annuly and gets you unlimited acces to grounds, free seminars, and training days. Danny Farmer, Steve Yozamp, and Rick Stawski are arguably 3 of the top 5 field trial pros in the nation. While not a household name Tim Landecker is widely viewed as the best young dog/gun dog trainer around. Craig Klien is a chessie specialist who produces great gun dogs. If you are interested in Gun Dog, Hunt Test, or Field Trials this is to good a rescource to pass up.

PRO TUESDAYS

If you?re a Field Trial Amateur looking for pointers, a Hunt Test Amateur looking for tips, or someone that is considering competing with your retriever but do not know how or where to start. Tuesday Night?s 5-7 pm from June 9th thru August 25th there will be one of our member pros ?teaching?. They will have a setup, share a drill, and discuss problem solving. They will also adapt their session depending on if there are four people out for the night or fourteen.

PRO WEDNESDAYS Get ready for Hunting Season!

If you are a hunter and a gun dog owner that wants a tune up for the hunting season, or you have a new pup, or if you are interested in competing in Hunt Tests with your retriever and do not know where to start, each Wednesday night there will be member pros holding a training session.

Yes. While I'm sure there would be some value for pointy dogs guys it wor be pretty minimal.

I'm sure if you just wanted to come check it out once no one would mind. There is some pretty amazing dog work displayed.
Last night NFC AFC Seasides Pelican Pete and his owner put on a demo. Pete is the 2013 National Retreiver Champion..... I ran my dog immediately following Pete. Thank god we didn't embarrass ourselves!

Make as many as you can. The atmospher is very casual, and open. Ask any questions and run your dog under some of the best retreiver pros in the nation

Last week I ran a blind when my dog was out about 150 yards I stopped him and gave him a straight back (left) and he turned right. I gave a solid correction (high 3) and everything then went to hell. Danny Farmer, Steve Yozamp, and Mark Smith all proceeded to explain why my correction was unwarranted and why my dog proceeded to not take straight back casts after the correction. I learned more in about 5 minutes than I have in the last 6 months. In hindsite what they said makes perfect sense!
