Bass or catfish what do you prefer for dinner.

Both are equal in my mind, I prefer my bass fried with a mustard base and catfish with a milk or egg base.

Catfish rolled in cornmeal flour mix from an egg milk bath. Rolled twice. Cold Coors light and some fried tators and onions. No wait that's what I am having for supper and tonight.

Catfish over Large mouths, particularly if they are river cats, lake cats are barely tolerable.

Yellow perch rank #1 with me, with a < 17inch walleye a close second

Well down here in Louisiana in the basin there is no size limit since there are so many.

Even inch for inch I like spots. 12-13" fish eat the best imo. Ca is a premier bass fishing destination with world class fisheries.

In the boundary waters a couple years back it was tough fishing. For shore lunch we filleted up one small walleye and one small SMB.

It was my first time eating SMB...and next to the walleye it was almost gag-worthy

Cold water perch/crappie/walleye take it for me.

Catfish when I was down south; they don't taste as good up here in WA state. Walleye top my list, followed by perch, the occasional high country pan-fried small trout when camping back home in Montana, beer-battered cod, and smoked salmon.
