Feeding Time

I've never heard that labs are prone to twisted gut. I've heard it's most common in big chested dogs with smaller hips, mainly English pointers and gsp.

The first night his dog got into our dog food and ate all of it for the next two days of our hunting trip. We had to go to town and buy more.
My dog would eat a 40 pound bag of dog food if she could.

She found a dead cow in the field in December that the farmer had dumped a couple days before and refused to leave it until I walked over to her and pulled her away from it by the collar. All she wanted to do was eat more beef. lol

Is eating anything in sight a lab thing? My dad had 2 labs when I was growing up, they were the same way. Food was devoured when it hit the bowl. Meanwhile both of my dogs, there's food in their bowl pretty much all day long as they just graze feed.

Fed her just the once today and added some water. Maybe I’ll try the pan thing too. Seems like lots of food at once but I know other dogs eat a lot more than mine at one time.
