One can find much joy in doing something that might take extra effort but yields a superior outcome. What are the benefits of doing things the sophisticated way vs. the easy way? A few examples of this might be:
Writing a letter vs sending an email/text
Shaving with a straight razor v shaving with a modern cartridge or disposable
Detailing your car vs getting a car wash
Fly fishing vs spin fishing
Bow hunting vs rifle hunting
Telemark skiing vs alpine skiing
Cooking a nice mean vs taking someone out to eat
(note: not all these are straight forward. While I see bow hunting as the more elegant tradition for of hunting, other might not. Taking an elk at 400 yards with a rifle isn't necessarily easy).
