Dog Enjoyed Fishing Trip

Gus the Brittany has had little off-leash time lately with the bird seasons over. On a trout hunting trip to CO he got to run free along the river and romp with a Chessie whose master was fishing too. He seemed to know he was off duty because he ran around at top speed in no particular direction with a carefree look on his face -- at least that's my anthropomorphic interpretation. I was glad to see him so madcap happy. Dogs are wonderful.

You're right about the word -- it's too long. Don't know a shorter synonym. Heading back to the mountains first weekend in September to blast and cast -- hope to shoot a grouse and catch a trout.
