[dakota hunting]

i have a Charles daily 12 guage field hunter maxi-mag DU edition. it a solid gun some of the time, after one hunt it stops firing. After i pull the trigger i hear a click but no fire and when i look at the shell the primer is dented but not enough. Is there anything i can do?

Sounds like a firing pin spring issue to me. You might break it down and stretch the spring to see if you can get some more rebound from it. If not, find a stronger and or a bit longer replacement. You might contact the manufacturer and go from there. Good Luck!

I have had a couple of people I know that had one of these guns. They all had problem's with them. Myself, I would take it to a qualified gun smith or send it back to Charles Daily for repair.

Do a search for Ahlman's gun shop in Morris Town Mn. Call the smith and talk to him about your problem. They are a Factory authorized smith for most makes.
