Benelli 828U safety tension

I have a Benelli 828U. I absolutely love the gun but the tension on the safety is such that I oftentimes am slow getting on a bird because of not getting the safety off easily. Outside of taking this to a gunsmith, is there some way I can adjust the tension on the safety? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you, John
