2023 Season Pictures of Birds, Guns And Dogs

Hey all, got out today with my son Jim. Saw a ton of birds, but boy were the roosters ever wild. Addie was able to pin some however.

Anyway, Jim was able to limit and I got two. It was a good day, more because my son and I went out together. Weather was nice and Addie did very well.

Best Regards

Greg

Just as bagman said. No storms forecasted for next week and temps in the 30's and 40's

Hey all, boy what a beautiful day here in late December North Dakota. Sun shining, warm and low winds. Can't ask for any better.

Anyway, good day today, should have had a limit, but boy was my shooting ever off. Missed two easy shots. But did connect with a couple.

Raina did very well. Pretty happy with that 10 year old pup.

Best Regards and a Blessed Christmas to you and yours!

Greg

Used my 16ga Garbi today

THURSDAY: A good friend texted to let me know his hunt went terrible with several great points behind his pup only to whiff and come up empty. I added salt to the wound by stopping by his cabin and using his “brag” board to celebrate our hunt.

TODAY: The pic of the single rooster was taken after an hour hunt. I hit this one on the third shot and watched it sail about 200 yards. Both Vizslas followed quickly. The rooster escaped about 50 yards into some thickets. A solid breeze allowed Ellie to find it within a few minutes and make a retrieve in the heart of the thickets. She makes me so dang proud and has been on her A game the past two months especially on the runners.
