Young Covey and a young Setter

I took Flint down to the farm this morning by himself. When we take Indy nobody else get much bird work other than backing due to his range.

He is starting to come around. He is pretty good when he is pointing, but his backing needs a lot of work at this point. But I have not worked with him enough.

Nice Steve! Lady has pointed a handful of mountain quail covies on our recent scouting trips, can't wait for season to roll around.

Just abit of history ... the Californian Quail was introduced to the Nelson province of New Zealand in 1865 ... they became so prolific that there was an export trade of canned birds sent to the UK !!
