You know your dog is old when...

the old dogs see one of the younger dogs on point and instead of honoring, the old dog stops to take a crap. That is what Nittany did today. Here he is after he was done the important business.

Nittany is on the right.

After this I spent 40 minutes looking for Champ. I have no idea what he was doing for that amount of time. The other two dogs were getting hot, so I took them back to the truck and there was Champ sitting on the tailgate. Damn dog

Hey Nittany has earned to do what ever he wants at this point! :D

That's a scary feeling when a pup gets out of sight for a while, but he knew how to back track, that's one of the first things I do with my dogs.

I have lost/couldn't find the dogs before because they are on point in the thick stuff. It happens more often this time of year because everything is so green and thick. I wasn't too worried since we were close to home and the dogs know the area well.

I'll know when my dog is old when he hunts as slow as I do, lol.
