These birds are with little doubt a successful hatch from birds released in 2016 while training pups in my 'BACK 13". Found the first dead on my porch after it apparently flew into the exterior wall. It was warm and limp. Put it in the freezer for future training , walked back out the front door and there were 13 more in my driveway! SD does have a chuk season, coincidental with sharptails etc. and a few days later there were 5-6 huddled behind the garage. I had recently purchased a CZ sxs .410 so I grabbed it, and first shot, first kill! 4I saw 4 land about 100 yds away so I cut a pup loose and she locked up staunchly. I missed so I am 50/50 with the new smokepole. Have not seen them since.
