We received notice from NBC Sports regarding the inspirational message Al presents at the close of each program. The following is a quote from NBC Sports (formerly Versus) “Moving forward, NBC Sports Network will no longer allow any non-sports related content, such as religious content in their programs. Any religious references need to be removed entirely. This includes, but not limited to, on show opens or logos, graphics, animations or any references by talent or guests. This change goes into effect immediately.” Therefore, we have no choice but to remove this segment from our Angling Edge series. We have made the required adjustments and Angling Edge will air as scheduled.

Keep supporting all the Linder programs, but I will not be watching NBC sports any longer

Everything must be sanitized so there is no mention of god or faith in any program. But if you want to put on some half dressed young girls, that would be acceptable. If his faith offended someone, they could simply turn the channel as I do when I don't like something. Most people that understand the spiritual connection one gets by spending a day on the water, or a day afield would understand. Too bad.

I wonder if this means when all these steriod taking nonefaithful low life millionaries who play basketball, football ,baseball I could be forgetting a few sports at the end of there games they alwasy say they want to thank god for the win ie tebow will they bleep this out i find the linder family to be great and enjoy all the shows ive seen from them plus learned more in one episode about fishing than alot of other fishing shows !

I WOULD GUESS BY NEXT SEASON THEY WILL MOVE TO SPORTSMAN'S OR OUTDOOR CHANNEL. MAY LOSE SOME MARKETS, MAY GAIN SOME.
CERTAINLY THE OUTDOOR CHANNEL HAS A NUMBER OF CHRISTAIN INDIVIDUALS ON IT'S HUNTING SHOWS.

SHAME ON NBC, but what did we expect?

Small wonder that I rarely watch TV much anymore.

Plus 1!!!!!! Or if you wanna here some raunchy sitcom (sp) that talks about god knows what.

I would like to know how they will stop athletes from thanking the lord Jesus or making the sign of a cross on their chest with their hand, dropping to one knee and bowing their head. In Moto-Cross, many of the riders always say, they would like to thank the Lord Jesus. Their attempt to stomp out Christianity or any religion for that matter borders on infringing on peoples constitutional rights.

No matter, I'm sure that channel will go by the way of ESPN. Soon the only real outdoor sports you will see on their is fishing. Then they will eliminate that too. Wouldn't want to have any harm come to any fluffy creatures or promote gunsin anyway. :(

They already got rid of my favorite program,"Gun it With Benny Spies".This is pretty predictable coming from NBC.This organization is progressive, and therefore rotten to the core. They don't even try to act impartial.I was watching MSNBC election coverage the other night, the three anchors were Ed Schultz, the butch dyke chick who's name I can't recall, and the self-avowed socialist who says he would ban all guns in the US,Lawrence O'Donnell. Not even a fake conservative like that Morning Joe clown. The Fox channel gets a bit old and I like to listen to people I don't agree with because it causes you to think, but these three jokers don't have a brain cell that can even challenge the few weak ones that I have left.

I haven't been to church in over 30 years, but I get a kick out of those who state that this is a secular country.Apparently they have never read the first paragraph of the Dec of Independance or perused a copy of the MA State Constitution.

I wonder if a Muslim had a fishing show, would they show him praying 5 times a day? I suspect yes. It's just fashionable to bash Cristians and Jews in the progressive world.
