Very nice Goldeneye, tell your father n law that I'll give him twice the money he paid for it. Where else can you get a return on an investment like that? :D

Goldeneye, that is a sweet rigg. Quite a deal on that one. Nice to see the good old equipment being put to good use. I'm always amazed that tractors built in 50's work today about as good as they did when they were new. Good value.

Jayhawk
don't think I have not offered to double his money many times on that tractor. I even offered to trade for his daughter. But I was told there is a no return policy on her:D.
I think it's funny putting $20 of gas into a $1 tractor.

I am using the Ibeam chain link drag with a bed spring behind. Works well for prepping food plots. Now I am using it for prepping my prairie field. I just pull it with the truck, then the ATV once I get it firm a little. Wheeler, well you can use it for so much, but for spraying it works great. I just mow the clover patch with the Dixon. I can keep it at 7 ". Works well for my smaller area. I had a H farmall, but sold it a few years ago. Wish I still had it for a while again now.

I know youre from kansas, but if you ever come up to SD and Wieman's auction in Marion, SD comes up, they get alot of those OLD tractors and ive been to a few of them and seen old JD, olivers, allis chalmers go for 1,500 give or take depending on how bad you want it. most of them are still in running conditions. they usually fire them up during the auction to show off. ive seen a few propane minneapolis tractors. those are sweet.

Just think how fast I could be done with my spot if I had your guy's equipment for a day:D. It sucks to be in the pioneer days. I guess I still have it a bit easier then the horse and buggy days. Those guy's were real men.

In an effort to keep up with Birdman here are a couple iminent acquisitions slated for the farm due to expanded CRP acres and the maintenance required to keep them in compliance. Had to get something I could talk the wife into driving because she is going to need to be the hired hand on the second machine.

85HP Deutz and a 10' maschio mulcher to take after them food plots in the spring (just the ticket).

I hear Maschio makes some good stuff. I have been told that they make JD tillers.

What do you cut with that Shelbourne header? Is it a stripper?

Mike, I order the dang thing this spring and they ship from Italy and it too forever to get here and I tolf the guy I had food plots to mow and so I had to go find a used flail mower. With added acreage I needed a second tractor and mower and just thought I would call and see if they still had this maschio I order sitting around and sure enough they gave me a heck of a deal on it and the tractor was a demo with about 400 hours on it with 0% financing for 5 years. Good time to buy?

I Got a Big John Deere Too
