Wow! On the way home Friday night I saw 7 young but already colored roosters 1/8th mile east of my house. Will be in my backyard this fall as nowhere else to go after the crops are out.
I thought I downloaded a pic sent me yeasterday of one of my pups and a pile of ptarmigan shot in Alaska where the season is open already!!!! I 'll find it.

By the way--two more young roosters further east on the road today. They are very mature for this years chicks. Must have been a bunch in my hood that hatched in May. Some of the late ones are probably wrapped up in the hay bales.

This has not been easy.

Tho it does not look like you would want to mess with his birds, Bo is really quite docile. His owner is an airline pilot and Bo stays in three different homes.
