I've got a 7 year old neutered male and a 13 year old intact female. Mother and son. Mother has terminal cancer and not long on this side. Quality of life is still good, but untreatable. No pain. She must be having some kind of cycle as twice this week they have hooked up. Never when I'm home, always a text from my wife. They've lived together their whole life. I've never even seen the male with even so much as an erection. Kept them apart for 4 days after the first session. Then they got together again in the shop yesterday. Male is locked up now. I know it takes two to tango, and im assuming she was a willing participant and stood for him. I figured she was too old for a heat cycle. I guess that's why they call them dogs. Baffled, never seen this between them..
