NE Kansas report

kick them up

Well I took the 2 britts and the 12yr old lab to my friend place in Jefferson county yesterday for a little walk. We managed to move a couple coveys (shot 1 bird )and flushed 3 hens on an 40ac patch. The neighbor across the street said he saw 3or 4 rooster hanging around too:thumbsup:

The week before our other friend shot 4 quail, and a rooster off the same place. Also been seeing a lot of quail all over the state. Even the guys on the KS archery forms are discussing how many quail they see when deer hunting.

Hopefully a good sign for the future!
