Looking Good This Spring

Between Sioux Falls & Okoboji, things look really, really good. Plenty of water in sloughs. Grass/weeds lush. Crops popping up. Barring any disasters, I'd think that area should have a decent hatch & good summer. Amazing how quickly things can turn around, for better or worse.

Similar story here to the north in MN. I'll take a wet spring with 70 degrees every day over what we had last year. By this time last year, a historical drought was starting and it was already 95 freaking degrees out.

Fingers crossed!! I can't wait until July 15 when I can take the dog to a couple of "out of sight" potholes and check their condition for duck hunting.

IMO the next few weeks are crucial.. no big floods and steady consistent temps and I think we will be golden!
