Looking for Black Female Lab

Hey there,

Looking for a female AKC registered English black lab with parents with “good” rated hips, eyes, and elbows if not excellent.

And though I appreciate pointers, I’d like a true flushing lab.

I’m in the market now, but if I need to wait a few weeks for the “right” dog.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Check out some of online sites; Gun dog central. Gun dogs on line or google black labs for sale where you can find plenty of reputable breeders
Assume you want a started dog since hips, eyes, elbows are certified after 24 months
Should be plenty of litters out there with parents that gave those clearances

I misspoke about certification; thanks.

I'm not much of a lab guy but have family that have had 3 dogs from Suak River up north( somewhat your area) and they all did everything you could ask of a lab, and did it very well. They were/are all hunted hard their whole lives and their hips seemed to hold up.

No offense but zero to two weeks seems rushed and unrealistic
The last lab puppy I got took three years.
Living in Alaska, I wanted a spring pup, black female like my other labs.
Found a good litter, put my deposit down, number 2 on the list...only one female.
Next spring, 2 breedings, put my deposit down, number 1 on the list with the breeder...all male pups!
Third spring, finally got a pup down in the Anchorage area (700 mile round trip to drive down and get pup).

Besides eyes, hips, EIC in the pedigree is important to look at.

Yeah, I lucked out and found one quickly with great health checks for her and her parents. I’m very excited for our future hunting endeavors.
