Have gun and dog in Maryland

Hi all, super excited I stumbled upon this site. Thanks to the administrators for hosting it.

I have a 3 year old Ryman English Setter that I have been working with on upland birds. She and I have hunted both Maine and Vermont for Grouse and Woodcock but are ready to chase pheasants and other upland birds.

This November (2021) we have made plans to travel to South Dakota. Having never been before, I'm hoping some of you can assist me in making this a successful trip (I'll post another thread for tips and advice).

Seeing how it's just me and my dog, would be awesome if I could connect with some other local bird hunters as well.

Most of my time is spent with her training at Mason Dixon Game Outfitters. I also have taken her up to Big R Bird ranch just outside of York PA.

Frank

it's hard to match up with another new hunter and their dog too. (experience, range, cooperating with a strange dog, temperment)
i would think hunting by yourself would be much more rewarding for you and your dog.
you might take a chance on an offer and find a compatible team. good luck.
