I've always thought woodcock were cool looking birds. Opening day of the Wisconsin pheasant season this past fall my younger pup put this bird up. It's mature, the colors are nice and the beak isn't shot up or broken so I decided to have it done.
They are apparently one of the more difficult birds to mount because of their very thin skin to the point some taxidermists will refuse them. I'm pleased with how it turned out and thought I'd share.
