Garmin Alpha vs. SportDog TEK 2.0

They seem pretty similar. Not sure one is "that" much better than the other.

However, I am curious about the thoughts of those who used these.

Which do you prefer and why?

Garmin Alpha 100 hands down.

I have used both and prefer and own the alpha system.1)Better mapping and images with birds eye view.2) Better built higher quality product in my opinion.3) If you hunt with other people often and they have either alpha or Astro 430,all of you can keep track of where everyone is as well text message each other through the hand held.

Can't comment on the Sportdog... but the Alpha is my favorite tool period.

I had several friends that had the Tek 1. They all went to Garmin products the next year, because of failure of the Tek units.
I don't know anyone with the Tek 2, it may be ok, but the Garmin Alpha is top of the line.

No experience with the TEK, but in the third season with a Alpha and it is a great piece of equipment.
I’ve had Tritronics stuff for over a decade—rock solid.
TT and Garmin did good coming together.
