Favorable Weather?

I have heard some really good things and then today my friend called me this morning to tell me he seen 30-40 little pheasants ranging from 4-8 inches tall, but all flying. He said he had to call me because last time we spoke a month ago he had not seen any. Real wet today there and he said the dry land corn looks great along with the milo, which he said looks irrigated. A few more timely rains and he said they will have a bumper fall crop. A "Tin Buster" he said!! Lots of doves as well. Still a long way to go, but looks much better than last year for sure...

Cool , I appreciate the reply. We were loosely planning our fall trips the other day. We love KS , slim pickin's the last couple of years though. Hopefully no more floods or hail!

Awesome news! I have never hunted south of the interstate. We have contemplated it. According to the WIHA guide , there are some scaled quail in the furthest SW corner of the state. Id love to kill just one to scratch it off of the list.
