Dog Gun Time

Got a call from my daughter, who lives in Chicago, last night. She was calling because of friend of hers has a child who is diabetic and the doctors have recommended obtaining a service dog or "alert dog" to detect dangerously low blood sugar levels before loss of consciousness. Are any of my fellow Setter folks aware of any cases where Setters are working as service dogs or alert dogs? My first thought is they would be great for it but then after thinking about it I can't recall ever seeing or hearing of a Setter as a service dog.
