Dogs with drive

I had a chance to follow some sled dogs on a training run. I was on a snow sled to help stop the team as the snow was to fluffy to hold a snow hook. We went 38 miles at a 10.5 mph pace, it impressed the h=== out of me. That included stops for tangles and a longer stop for snacks supplements. Friend said next runs will be 3 days in a row at 50,60,50 miles before tapering for January race. Side note snow is crotch deep north of Two Harbors.

I was raised in Finland, school in SB. Plowed snow on 61 TH to BB for almost
30 years. Retired in beginning of Nov.

No grouse for me either

I was hoping to do some late season grouse hunting too but the 30+ inches of snow we got north of Duluth where I lived pretty much put an end to that. So instead of hunting grouse, I went to SW MN over the weekend and had a great time. Put up over 50 pheasants in 2 hours of hunting on Saturday and got my 3 bird limit in about an hour on Sunday. The dogs sure had a great time!
