Went out tonight, farmers are taking down corn in almost every section on my way to a public hunting area.
We watched pheasants and deer run/fly out in front of the combine and go right back in, kind of cool to watch but they kept getting further away from the public fence line...

We managed 3 roosters flushed, all which walked in from the corn.

Can't wait for all the crops to be down, bet we seen 20+ birds shuffling in and out. Then it should get real good.
 
Wish the crops were coming down

Went out yesterday to the favorite spot and crops are still up. The majority of the field is combined but there's rows left up on all borders. Walked 6 hours and only managed to see 6 pheasants and they all flushed out ahead and went into the corn.
Hopefully soon we will have a chance to really put the chase on.
 
Agreed. Going out late this aft, hoping they've come down. Standing corn is hell on a pointing dog.
 
Crops still up. Saw 1 across the property line, had one flush wild, and kicked up a bruiser buck. Hoping to get into them Sunday.
