Boots , what ya like?

Ive got several brands pairs all $200 plus boots . One brand I kinda like the best for waterproof / comfort/ ruggedness is discontinued

I like mid height , hiking type boots 5"6"7" ..... I have Danners(3 different styles), Lowa renegadeGTX, Vasque St Elias, Irish setter etc

I might try some "light" Mindels next

Oh I like Irish setter wingshooters for comfort and durability but they are "too dang heavy" and the soles are too slick. I Use them when working around my property

I have no problems with nubuck leather. Pretty common leather. My Crispis are the most comfortable boot I've ever worn and I've had Meindls and Irish Setters and others. I'm not an iron worker, I'm walking in pheasant country.

Crispi Valdres 2 gtx. Best boots I have ever had. I have used them every where from the Rockies to South Ga. Awesome ankle and foot support. Three years and they still feel good and I hike and bird hunt a lot.

Used to be a Rocky guy and they weren't bad but I wish I would have tried Danner earlier.

Crispi Upland Pro's have been pretty good to me.. My Shimek's last year were good down into the single digits. I wouldn't own anything but Cripi's.

Crispi Altitude. Laces suck but the boots are awesome. Danner Pronghorns are comfortable, until they leak after 3 months.
