They will find a way to pump some sunshine in somewhere somehow. Watch.

    It Looks Grim

I’d love to see some proof that KDWP has gone in and restructured payment or asked for a refund from a landowner. Maybe it does happen but I have some doubts. Perhaps some one can enlighten us

    It Looks Grim

The leasing of worthless subpar WIHA ground has been going on for 10+ years and has only gotten worse as of late. Don’t kid yourself and try to blame it on drought years.

    You're all full of it.....

6-10 years is being generous. I’ve heard, straight out of KDWP mouths, we have to rent the subpar to get the little dab of good land they have. That’s BS. Tell them no and move on. Pay more for the good stuff and people will learn. I realize this will lead to a loss of the total acres KDWP likes...

    You're all full of it.....

This is obviously a piece of this year’s WIHA. When KDWP’s bird forecast comes out shortly it will state “Fair to good with pockets of birds.” Take that to the bank.

When do we start the push for change?

Typically about 1 out of 10 or so are worth getting out of your truck for a try. That 1 may be decent but you burn a ton of gas and time finding that 1.

When do we start the push for change?

Another area KDWP continues to fail at is the management of the WIHA program. Why do they continually throw money at subpar ground? Perhaps if they upped their rates for “quality” habitat” It would encourage the landowner to leave a little bit for the wildlife. KDWP would also have to say no...

    Yes sir he does.

When do we start the push for change?

The NR licenses are growing 3:1. Residents are hanging it up because they know, see, and experience the truth. These are the people that live here and pay taxes year around. Their own biologist (Bidrowski) pointed this out this year. I’ve asked about getting a copy of this report and have seen...

When do we start the push for change?

They aren’t about to change what they are doing with the WIHA. I’ve been told several stories from KDWP about why they lease up worthless ground. The most quoted is that they had to lease up the worthless ground from a landowner in order to get a separate piece that was actually decent. The...

    Heading to Kansas

Typical guide tactic. Claim NW KS is loaded w/birds and kill 4 every time out. Forget to mention that it’s in private ground until called out on it. No wonder WIHA is beat to death but then it sure helps the guide bookings……

    Opening Weekend in Kansas

Looks like the truth is finally rearing it’s ugly head. No doubt, habitat loss is a major factor. Perhaps KDWP can finally call a spade a spade. I doubt that will ever happen. With their “less than accurate “ bird reports every year coupled with piles of money spent on worthless WIHA, it was...

    KDWPT Wildlife Commission

Native, It’s obvious you’re a NR but actually get what is going on here. You’ve weeded thru the BS that has been going on in this state for way to long. You’re passionate and educated and I don’t detect too much self serving interests in your posts. That being said, S. Davis is what we residents...

Kansas Trespassing Fee for Private Land

This here is 100% correct. He is in it for his own, personal agenda. If you can view past meetings, you guys should watch this last one on the turkey seasons. You’ll get a feel for what Lauber is all about

Kansas Trespassing Fee for Private Land

I feel the same. We’re going to have to inundate them to the point they can’t turn there heads anymore

Kansas Trespassing Fee for Private Land

Lauber is the chair. He is also the one who has been there for multiple terms. I’ve already discussed the issues with him. Sill sent me a reply. She was very nice and acknowledged there was a problem. She went on to say she lost deer hunting ground due to outfitters. She went on to say her and...

Benefit of website for KS Sportsman 2 Speak out?

In the cases of one current, and one former commissioner, they were there to further their own self serving agenda. Unfortunately no other commissioner would put a stop to it.
