    12 Gauge For Grouse & Woodcock

    My upland bird gun is a Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U 12 gauge. For pheasant I use M over IC chokes. My son and I are going for grouse and woodcock later this fall. What chokes and loads would be best for those birds with a 12 gauge? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

    I'm fairly new to upland hunting. I know a 12 gauge will kill a grouse or a woodcock and I can't afford a new 20 or 28 gauge right now.     Choke Tube Advice

    This has probably been asked before but is there any benefit to using extended chokes for Upland bird hunting? I know they're easier to install and remove, I'm talking about actual in the field performance. I hunt pheasants and grouse here in PA. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
