I have noticed sometimes pheasant meat will be really tender and sometimes tough using the same cooking technique. Is this a product of how quickly they died or how they bled out.

Shot an elk a few weeks ago and looking for some recipe. Tried one in the crock pot but it got way dry. To hot and too long of cooking I am sure.

It looks like another year will come and go with no snow during the hunting season. I kind of like hunting in the snow. Definitely groups the birds up.
