    Rain, Finally!

I see that the Guymon area and Panhandle of OK got some much needed rain yesterday. Well God blessed us in SW Oklahoma with 1.5" - 2.5" over many of our Counties. It should not have hurt any of the nesting Quail as it was lite to moderate rainfall. More to come in the next few day's.

    Good weekend of hunting

So far the last four times out, I have managed to stay into birds. At a minimum of four to five covey's in a few hours. A little windy and somewhat dry conditions but other than that few complaints. The birds did very well through the last two ice storms, have yet to find a covey with less than...

    Johnson Grass

Any recomendation on how late (mature wise) you can effectively spray Johnsongrass with any success. I am using Plateau. It is still vigeriously growing, however it is mature. I have had great success in past years suppressing it, however this year running alittle behind the game.

    Quail Whistle Counts

I have been out the past week or so conducting whistle counts. It's lookin real good if the rains in June & July can keep the bugs out :10sign: It's looking like it is going to be a good year for Quail hunting. My counts this year have been up 300-400% from the past 5 years. Let's hope for some...

    Jam or Jelly?

Jam or Jelly? In the last few weeks, I have picked my fair share of Apricots, Sandhill Plums and started on the Peaches. We were fortunate enough to have a pretty good batch of Peaches this year. The GSP’s love jumping up in the smaller peach trees, grabbing their fair share and gnawing on the...
