Was out this morning and flushed three birds, only one offered a decent shot and I was lucky enough to connect . Had some good action last week. While we will still work the dogs the shotguns will be put away.It's been another good year overall .

Hunted SGL'S in the South East, VERY tough going ! Most of the areas looked like ghost towns with very little sign. Finally at the last area we came across some sign. This was in some real thick nasty cover . Chip did his thing, a well earned bird on his part, he hunted hard all day.

Although I like hunting the rifle season for deer there's nothing like watching a good bird dog on hot scent!

For the last month I've been visiting some of the State Game Lands and I have to tell you I'm very impressed ! The work done for small game hunting is outstanding . So thank you PGC for keeping us small game and upland hunters in mind . A job well done!

With all the craziness going on I needed to get out in the fields ! I decided to go to an area in South East Pa. that still holds some wild birds. I was rewarded with several Roosters crowing . I've got to tell ya they sounded better than ever before.
