    I started getting the dogs out now that the weather is a little cooler. Sally found a few dove this morning. I'll get some quail soon and try to get the dogs in shape. Less than a month before we head to South Dakota.

    I turned some pheasants loose New Year's eve. The birds flew well and the dogs are learning to retrieve. I haven't found a single quail this year in Tennessee, so I guess this is what its come to.
