On a trip my dog gets amped up and won’t eat either. He eats when he’s hungry. When on a road trip I only feed once a day after the hunt soaked in water as much as he wants. After he stops I take the remaining food away and doesn’t get any more till the next evening. On the second day he’s ready...

At least he checked you before you started hunting. He could’ve waited till all your guns were loaded and dogs out and then drove up. Had a buddy once drop us off and then drove down the road to block. CO approached him right as he was starting to block. Bad timing, wish he would’ve waited...

My buddy’s female started going in heat the start of a long weekend. First day she just growled and nipped at my male. They were fine when hunting far apart but by day three, when looking for downed birds close together they started playing grab ass. Made me think of this thread. Many more days...
