    Quail hunting Southeast Kansas

When I was in college and just out (late 80's, early 90's), my mom and dad had a neighbor that grew up in Centerville, KS. It is southwest of LaCygne. His mom still lived on the family farm, and we had permission on other ground in the area. We shot a ridiculous amount of quail around there...

    Party Hunting

    Brine a pheasant

John, I assume you rinse before cooking. How much salt/brown sugar/pepper would you suggest for 4 pheasants? Thanks.

    Pheasants and quail

Years ago we used to do well on both pheasant and quail in NE Kansas. I shoot an O/U and I would load #8 in the first barrel and #6 in the second. Back then I killed roosters with #8 and quail with #6 on more than a couple occasions. These days I shoot #5 and with fewer rooster opportunities...

    Your Experience With This?

I bring my dog. They have heated kennels which I have used. I've also let the dog sleep in the truck when the weather was nice. They are pretty accommodating. I think you could call and talk to Jason and give him an idea of what you are looking for and he would do his best to make it work...
