I lift a few times per week and play football and basketball when I can.. I'm adding 100 or so flights of stairs into the mix every few days until the season starts so that you can't hear me huffing and puffing when I record my hunts for YouTube.

IMO you should give yourself every advantage you can when hunting pheasants.. that being said I'd shoot Bismuth 4's or 5's when lead isn't an option. It's about $2 per trigger pull so I can see why a lot of people stick with steel. I've also heard of people having issues with Bismuth shot...

This is the way... but I would sub out 1" electrical tape for the duct tape. Duct tape is made to tear straight across and that feature has cost me a boot or two. So far, knock on wood, I haven't lost a boot using electrical tape.

Sand Lake by Aberdeen, haven't been there myself but sounds like it could be a great time.. If you want to strap on the snowshoes and burn some calories!
